Calculation methods and assumptions

Force is F = ma in newtons. Kinetic energy is mv²/2 in joules. Electrical power is P = VI in watts (a simple DC or unity power factor model). Density is mass divided by volume. Use the SI units shown beside each field.

Try an example

A 10 kg mass accelerated at 2 m/s² requires 20 N of net force. A 2 kg object moving at 3 m/s has 9 J of kinetic energy.
